So , Detective Benoit Blanc is anonymously hired by a Thrombey family member to investigate the death of Harlan which appears to everyone to be a suicide. And from what it'll seem , almost everyone had a motive to kill Harlan. As Detective Blanc slowly tries to uncover the mysteries behind Harlan's death you'll get to see how uniquely twisted each member of the family is and how they relate with each other . Now , the question is : Will the Truth come to light ? Yes it will ( duh !! It always does 🤣🤣 )
Like most other murder mystery movies , the plot of the movie is exquisitely intricate. The twists and turns will completely wow you ( you'll just watch all your predictions fail🤣🤣🤣 don't worry I can relate ). From the fact that the detective is so poetic almost to the extent of a rambling mad man to the craziness that Marta ( Harlan's nurse ) has a regurgitatve reaction to mistruthin ( go find out for your self what it means 🤣🤣🤣 trust me it'll crack you up ) is all so mind blowing and went a long way in piecing it all together.
Going further ,it is quite sickening what people do to get money that's not even theirs to begin with . And it's even more interesting how very perilous situations will not alter the gracefully kind and good nature of certain people ( as in the case of Marta). The movie addresses a truth that is already too well know by all of us ( the twisted nature of family relations ) but plot towists are just so mind blowing and awe inspiring. That is what you'll definitely enjoy the movie if you've not seen it 🙂. And if you look closely you'll see that Mr Harlan's portrait that Marta was looking at the beginning changed at the end as it then had a charming smirk ( as if signifying satisfaction that all is resolved) . And the relationship between Harlan and Marta is quite remarkable as he so carefully willed all his property to her .
And God damn!!!!! The climax was at the same time suspence filled and comic ,I really did laugh out loud. But amidst all the thrill of the movie we shouldn't fail to realise that if Harlan had taken the course of action adviced by Marta rather than being the melodramatic theatric crime novelist that he is , he wouldn't have died🤣🤣 and there wouldn't have been a case to begin with. But then again he was a remarkable human, committing suicide on his own birthday ! To save save Marta and her family. Could there be any better show of love ( definitely not !!) It was outstanding. You'll definitely enjoy the movie 🙂
